Cystic acne is a very serious form of acne. It is a bit rarer than the milder forms are. The cysts are not on the surface like the other acne lesions are they are deeper down in the skin layers. That makes this acne need medical treatment and advice for getting rid of it. You do not have to do just medical treatments though you can add a natural cystic acne remedy.
Some very simple home remedies can be added to your daily acne treatment that will help combat the problem. Below are some of these remedies and what they do for the skin:
* Apple cider vinegar is great as a cystic acne remedy because it helps returns the skin to its natural pH level. It can be used as an all- natural toner after you cleanse the skin. Apple cider vinegar is also a great healer. It will help the acne lesions heal faster.
* You can do a facial with honey because of its antibacterial qualities. It also helps to help. If you add some oats or crushed aspirin you can have a marvelous exfoliating gentle scrub. Add water to the honey to get it to the right consistency or to make a paste when added with other ingredients.
* Eating the right foods can help your skin too. Eat plenty of foods that contain antioxidants. Along with your healthy diet drink your water. Skin cells cannot replenish themselves correctly without water. Stay away from junky foods. These have the things that are bad for your skin.
* You can also use aloe vera gel on your acne lesions to heal them. Aloe vera has been known for years for its healing abilities. Along with acne lesions and sores it is great for treating burns.
Other Things that Can Be Done
* Other things can be done too besides the above natural remedies to help the severity of the cystic acne. Very simple day to day things can help it like the ones listed below:
* Change your pillowcase daily. This will keep the bacteria that rub off from re-infecting your skin.
* Cleanse your face twice daily and any other body that is affected. Make sure not to rub hard when doing this though. You never want to break open the lesions deliberately. To go along with this you should take off any makeup before sleeping.
* As with all acne keep your hands away from it as part of your cystic acne remedy. This means no touching as well as squeezing the lesions. Otherwise you only make the bacteria spread.
