If you spend any time at all these days searching the Internet for ways in which you can generate more leads and build a profitable online business, you’ve probably come across the term, “attraction marketing” once or twice.
But what, exactly, is it? And – more importantly – why should you care?
Attraction marketing isn’t new. In fact, pick up any book on how to be an effective salesperson, and you’ll find the same tips and techniques on offer.
At the core of attraction marketing is attitude, and the role that the right one can play in your home based network marketing success.
Someone who has mastered attraction marketing:
1) teaches and adds value to the marketplace (through a blog, newsletter, audio or video, etc. – you get the idea);
2) positions themselves as a leader in their field (and has the chops to back this up); and
3) gives more than they ask for, and seek to make service their number one priority.
Of course, there’s more to it than that, and if you are serious about succeeding in your home based business, you need to learn all you can about attraction marketing.
The compelling thing about attraction marketing is the way in which it has revolutionized the home based network marketing business.
Used to be, when you joined an MLM, your warm market was your best hope for making a nice income. A warm market consists of the people you know, including family, friends, and colleagues.
Now, in the past, the people who were the most successful in home based network marketing were the ones that knew how to grow that warm market (because let’s face it, you only have so many family members) and were aggressive about doing it.
So home meetings, approaching people in the store, mailers, and other guerrilla methods were used to recruit. Lather, rinse, repeat, and eventually – if you stayed with it – you’d have yourself a nice business.
The Internet was an MLM game changer. Suddenly, as if overnight, the home based network marketing business owner could reach millions of people, and quickly. Smart MLMers jumped on, and the even smarter ones started incorporating the age-old principles of attraction marketing to radically change the way home based network marketing professionals could do business.
If attraction marketing lies at the heart of the successful home based network marketing business, a powerful system for getting the word out about you and what you have to offer is the brains.
Think about it. An estimated 97 percent of home based network marketing business owners close up shop within three months of launching.
Because they lack the knowledge that they need to attract customers to them, and they don’t have a system in place to help them do that.
And that’s a shame. Because I’m convinced that anyone, with any amount of experience, a modest education, and an effective system can increase profits and grow their business online.
If you’re serious about building a rewarding home based network marketing business on the fast track, do yourself a favor. Actually – two favors:
1) Become an expert in attraction marketing; and
2) Find and begin to use a funded proposal (or lead generation system) that will enable you to expand your reach and put your business (and profits) on the fast track.
The great thing about a funded proposal system is that it can give you all of the tools you need and a lot of insider advanced coaching to build traffic to your website, produce leads on demand, and pitch your business.
Best of all, with a good system in place, your team can easily pick up and duplicate what you do (which, in home based network marketing, is key) regardless of whether or not they have marketing skills.
And that’s really important.
Because if your team can’t duplicate your efforts with ease, you’ll find yourself in an endless loop of recruiting and training – all just to level out the negative impact that attrition (losing people after they’ve joined your team) will have on your business.
Ready to get in and get to work (as my mentor and upline leader, Rob Fore, likes to say)? Invest in yourself, your education, and a great funded proposal system, and you’ll be well on your way.
