As a professional marketer, I have taken a special interest in this company called Market America. Month after month, I have seen growth in the MLM Company, and watch them develop into one of the premier companies in the MLM industry. Unfortunately I have found, after speaking with a number of Market America, that most of them are making 4 very common, yet critical mistakes in their venture for success in their Market America Business.
Know Your Product:
One of the strengths of Market America, its number of specialty products and services, is also one of its weaknesses. You have a company with services like on-line shopping and products in the cosmetic and health and wellness industry. Most of the reps I’ve talked to knew a little about each, but none was an expert in any 1 field. A good Market America rep will need to be a master in at least one of these areas, and I would expect, over time, fluent in each product and service offered.
I expect you to be a professional and have this knowledge.
Know Your Competition:
There may not be any 1 company that offers this same “menu” of products and services, but there are a number of individual MLM companies that do offer at least one competing product and/or service. If your target “campaign” is shopping, that I would expect you to know at least 3 of the other “major” shopping sites on internet, that also offer discount shopping.
I’m looking at you to be a leader in your industry, and know you competition well, because they sure do know you!
Don’t Try To Sell Me Your Opportunity:
Any 4 year old, who has been on the internet form more that 30 seconds, has “seen” a business opportunity. Why is your opportunity any better that someone’s else’s? At this point I am only interested in the products and services (in my case shopping) that you have to offer, my interest is NOT about your opportunity.
You need to cater to my needs, wants, and desire, not yours! Show me how to go shopping and save money now.
Earn My Trust And Respect First:
You and I may never meet… we may live thousands of miles away… so right now I can say I absolutely don’t trust you! If you are a good marketer, you will understand this, and you will do your best to earn my trust and respect. If I like you, and I like your product, you will see a happy smile on my face. At that point I may want to know how I can get a “piece of the action” too!
Solve my problem, earn my trust, and you will have me “hooked” for life. Then I will be interest in other things, like getting a “piece of the action”
I’m sure the idea of being successful in Market America is a driving force in your life. Have you, personally, overlooked any of these ideas or taken the lightly?
Try walking in the shoes of you prospect, and look at Market America in their eyes. Take these 4 ideas and implement them into you business. I think you will find you business will suddenly find some new Success in Market America.
