Most network marketers that learn about MLM on the internet never learn the three levels to creating a successful MLM organization.

One of the main reasons that Network Marketers struggle with building their business is that they don’t achieve any level of success when they are first starting out so they drop out. Even some of the folks that do have some success still struggle with building their business because they cannot duplicate that same success with their down line.

This article will open your eyes to exactly why this happens time and time again. Most people are not aware of the fact that there are three levels of Network Marketing and most people on the internet are trying to master the third level without building the foundation that the first 2 levels achieve.

So what are the 3 Levels?

Level 1

Because most people online have this strange notion that old school marketing doesn’t work they try to skip over this level and wonder why they are struggling. Let me start that I did not come up with this idea myself. A good friend of mine Tom Challen taught me this and it literally changed how I conducted my own business overnight. If you do not know Tom, he is one of the top producers in his network marketing company and is responsible for recruiting over 500 people into his organization in less than a year. If you ask me, that is someone that might know something worth understanding.

Back to the first level. The first level in Network Marketing is new distributor. When you recruit a new distributor it is important that they either create their own success story or discover that this business is not for them as fast as possible. The best way for a new distributor to create quick success still is the old school warm market and cold market leads. I know many people will disagree, but ask those people where their first enrollments came from and how many they enrolled in their first week in the industry. If they enrolled anyone, chances are it came from their warm market.

Many people want to hide behind the computer and while generating all leads on line is ideal, it is not the fastest way to create a success story for a new distributor. The best way is to spend several hours a week calling leads. Those leads are going to be from either their warm market or from purchased (cold) leads.

The reason why this is so important is because everyone can dial a phone and everyone can read a script. Many people will argue against a script but I soon found out it is really the only way to ensure duplication. Duplication is key in this industry. Another thing about new distributors calling leads is they will be able to start recruiting almost immediately without much technical knowledge. Let’s face it, you may be a master internet marketer but not all your new distributors are and many have no desire to ever even use the internet.

They also will learn to develop key communication skills which are very important no matter what marketing method they choose to utilize. The only way to develop that muscle is to use it. The best way to use it is to talk to as many people as possible. Those who are go getters and are right for your business will do whatever it takes to succeed and if they do just this one thing, they will have a success story before too long. Also, they will stay as business partners because they are making money. HELLO!

Level 2

Level 2 is when distributors are spending 50 percent of their time dealing with recruiting from their warm market and cold market leads and 50 percent of their time dealing with training their team and responding to self generated leads. This is a really good place to be as business is building, teams are developing and profits are coming in. The description is pretty self explanatory. Typically it takes several years in the industry to really move beyond this level. Many people do not want to deal with developing the skills required to even get to this level so they skip both level 1 and level 2 and go directly to level 3. This is a big mistake for many marketers and they do not even realize it until it is too late. They never learned the people skills or the management skills to deal with a large organization and they are trying to accomplish something that is very hard to duplicate by the average person. What happens is difficulty in retention and they have to continuously recruit and never have a strong solid team. Even the most dedicated marketers will get frustrated and burn out without achieving levels 1 and 2 and solely relying on Level 3 Marketing.

Level 3

The reason most network marketers struggle online is as I mentioned they never accomplished level 1 and level 2. Unfortunately many marketers online promote the myth that internet lead generation is the only way to go. It is important and yes you will have an advantage with generating your own leads using attraction marketing on the internet, it just takes a long time to master the skill that are necessary. My recommendation is that people use level 1 techniques and begin to learn internet marketing at the same time to generate their own leads. Level 3 Network Marketing is when 100 percent of your leads are inbound. Your phone is ringing or you are responding to leads that you generated on the internet. The internet gurus are going to tell you that old school is dead. It is simply not true. The best idea is to use both old school and new school.
